Inspirada en los diseños de Elena Izcue, reinterpreté algunos de sus motivos en fieltro de lana merino, metal y bordado, como una forma de traer su legado al presente.

 

Elena Izcue fue una diseñadora peruana clave en el redescubrimiento del arte precolombino a inicios del siglo XX, y una de las pioneras en llevar el mundo prehispánico a la modernidad

 

This special series is part of a collaboration with MALI @museodeartelima.

Inspired by the designs of Elena Izcue, I reinterpreted some of her motifs using merino wool felt, metal, and embroidery—bringing her legacy into the present.

 

Elena Izcue was a Peruvian designer who played a key role in the rediscovery of pre-Columbian art in the early 20th century and was a pioneer in translating that heritage into modern language.
